A suspect in the death of a homeless man whose body was found Wednesday in Laughlin has been arrested in Arizona and is awaiting extradition to Nevada, according to Metro Police.

Walter W. Klatt, 49, was arrested early today in Bullhead City, Ariz., on an unrelated misdemeanor count, police said. He is awaiting extradition to Nevada on a count of murder, police said.

Officers were dispatched about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday to investigate reports of a body on a pedestrian bridge near Casino Drive and State Route 163, police said.

The victim was likely homeless, and evidence indicated he had been in a fight, police said. The Clark County Coroner’s Office has not yet released his name or cause of death.
