A substitute teacher facing charges for allegedly kissing a student told investigators it made her feel “powerful” and was motivated by revenge against her fiancé, who’d been texting other girls, according to her arrest report.

Robyn-Lea Gentile, 23, who was employed at Harney Middle School, was arrested Wednesday and booked on two felony counts of sex acts with a student age 16 or 17, jail records show.

According to her Clark County School District police arrest report:

Gentile and the high school student met through an extracurricular program involving youths from Harney Middle and Las Vegas High schools. The pair exchanged about 800 text messages and kissed about five times in December.

Gentile would give the student rides from school to his house twice a week. The kissing happened in Gentile's car, and several times outside his house.

The student told police he felt obligated to be in the relationship with Gentile, going along with it because he wanted to be comfortable while in the school club.

Gentile, who was employed about three years with the school district, told police she didn't see the teen as a student and that he was flirtatious in text conversations.

Gentile was booked at the Clark County Detention Center without bail. She is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
