Some sports bettors are playing with house money today in Las Vegas.
William Hill US gave every active customer with its mobile sports betting app on their phone a free $25 credit today after the app was shut down Tuesday for system maintenance, according to Michael Grodsky, a spokesman for the sports book.
“We know that it inconvenienced our customers, so we wanted to show our appreciation for their loyalty with us,” Grodsky said.
Sports bettors were unable to make wagers while the system was down.
The $25 credit was only given to active users of the app, but Grodsky would not say how many bettors that involved.
