Las Vegas detectives arrested a man on suspicion of homicide in the death of his former girlfriend in the southwest valley, according to Metro Police.
Brandon Hanson, 33, who previously dated the victim, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center where he faces one count of murder, police said. The victim was identified by the coroner as 21-year-old Makayla Rhiner.
About 7:30 p.m. last Thursday officers found the victim’s body in a garage of an apartment complex in the 8000 block of West Russell Road, near Buffalo Drive, suffering from apparent trauma, police said.
The investigation indicated Rhiner was walking into the unattached garage when she was attacked from behind. It was unclear what type of object caused the injuries, according to police.
