A man was shot and killed early this morning in front of his southwest valley home, according to Metro Police.
The shooting occurred just after midnight in the 5500 block of Dewey Drive, near Russell Road and Decatur Boulevard, police said.
Officers found a man in his mid-20s with three to four gunshot wounds in the driveway, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses reported that four people ran from the area, but officers were not able to locate any suspects, police said. A white, four-door car also was spotted leaving the scene, police said.
Police said they found bullet casings from two different guns, indicating there may have been more than one shooter. They also said there was a confrontation between the victim and the suspects, but they weren’t sure what sparked it.
