Security guard taken to hospital after stabbing at Palazzo

Metro Police say a person suspect of stabbing a security guard at the Palazzo this morning is now in custody.

The stabbing happened at the Las Vegas Strip casino just before 7 a.m. today.

The suspect was found across the street near the Treasure Island and Mirage resorts, police said.

The security guard was taken to the hospital and was in stable condition, police said.

Police said the suspect, who might be homeless person who frequents the area, was acting erratically before he was confronted by security. After the stabbing, he was tracked via security cameras across the Strip, where he was taken into custody without incident, police said.
