Stored paneling catches fire outside Strip casino

Wood paneling being stored in a parking lot at Circus Circus caught fire today, but the blaze was extinguished before it could spread, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The fire had no impact on hotel or casino operations, officials said.

The fire was reported about 1 p.m. in the parking lot off of Sammy Davis Jr. and Circus Circus drives, officials said.

A trailer was parked near the fire, but crews put out the blaze in about 10 minutes, before it could spread, officials said.
