Detectives are investigating after a 5-year-old boy shot himself in the finger Sunday morning in the northeast valley, according to Metro Police.
The boy’s mother called 9-1-1 about 9 a.m. reporting the incident in the 4700 block of Luxor Way, near Nellis Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue, police said.
The boy was taken to University Medical Center with a non life-threatening injury according to police.
Police said the mother was home the incident happened.
