Video: Fight breaks out between Lady Rebels basketball, Utah State

UNLV hangs out to win in overtime with just 6 players

A brawl late in the third quarter Saturday during the UNLV women’s basketball game against visiting Utah State left the Lady Rebels with just six available players for the remainder of the game.

They prevailed in overtime, 55-53, and got some unwanted attention in the process.

Video of the brawl made its way onto Twitter, showing UNLV’s Katie Powell and Antonio Robinson from Utah State fighting underneath the north basket at Cox Pavilion. Three players from each team were ejected for not staying on the bench during the fight, leaving the Rebels with six eligible players and Utah State with eight.

Brooke Johnson had 18 points to lead UNLV. She also had a steal in the final 20 seconds which led to the go-ahead basket by Dakota Gonzalez.
