A driver waiting at a northwest valley red light was critically injured when a delivery truck smashed into her car, throwing it into the intersection and causing a seven-vehicle wreck Wednesday morning, according to Metro Police.
The 33-year-old North Las Vegas woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to University Medical Center, police said.
Three other people, including the delivery-truck driver who may have experienced a medical episode prior to the crash, suffered minor injuries, police said.
Officers were called about 7 a.m. to the Durango Drive and Elkhorn Road intersection, police said. Seven other people involved in the crash, which remains under investigation, were not hurt.
