Fallen North Las Vegas Police Detective Chad Parque was honored at Yankee Stadium, Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

The New York Yankees honored fallen North Las Vegas Police Detective Chad Parque Tuesday night by displaying his photo and name on a jumbotron at Yankee Stadium as his favorite team took on the Cincinnati Reds.

“The Yankees Remember Detective Chad Parque, North Las Vegas PD,” read one of two screens where his name was displayed.

“We thank the New York Yankees for honoring our fallen brother tonight. The Yankees was Detective Parque's favorite team & he always dreamed of attending a game. Now he has. #Yankees #NLVPD,” read a social media post by city police.

Parque, 32, died on Jan. 7, several hours after his police vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver as the detective left the North Las Vegas Justice Court while on duty. He was a 10-year veteran.

A photo montage in the video during a Southern Nevada memorial service showed Parque and his little daughter walking upstairs hand-in-hand in vertical white-and-black striped jerseys.

The Yankees beat the Reds 4-2.
