CARSON CITY — A California company has agreed to pay a $20,000 fine for operating an escrow business in Nevada last year without a license.
The state Division of Mortgage Lending said Thursday that Dixieline Builders Fund Control of San Diego agreed to a consent order that it had done escrow business in Nevada in the summer of 2016. It has since received a license.
Cathy Sheehy, division commissioner, said the company will also pay $1,700 to cover the costs of the agency’s investigation.
