The Las Vegas Valley could get hit with rain showers in the late afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.
A band of showers are traveling up from the Colorado River Valley, the service said.
The east side of town is much more likely to see substantial precipitation, while the west side has about a 40 percent chance, the service said.
There is also a small chance of lightning storms with the rain.
Officials also expect sporadic winds throughout the valley, with gusts approaching 40 miles per hour this evening.
The anticipated high for today is 76 degrees, with an overnight low of 55.
