A man has been arrested in the gunpoint robbery of a woman last month as she sat in her vehicle at a west valley bank ATM, according to Metro Police.
The suspect, Lamarr Webb, 38, was arrested without incident Friday in the 1000 block of West Craig Road, police said. He was jailed on counts of attempted murder, robbery and being a prohibited person in possession of a gun, police said.
Webb also was wanted on a warrant out of Michigan, police said. Metro did not release any additional details on the warrant.
The robbery took place about 7:40 a.m. April 4 at a bank in the 1900 block of Village Center Circle.
The woman was at the ATM when a man came up to her window, pointed a gun at her head and demanded money, police said. When she told him she didn’t have any cash, he took her purse, police said.
The man fled on foot, got into the passenger seat of a parked car and took off with an unknown person behind the wheel, police said.
Police did not say how they identified Webb as a suspect, but security cameras captured clear images of the robbery.
