A woman suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound to the head Tuesday at a central valley apartment complex, according to Metro Police.
The woman remained in critical condition today at University Medical Center, Metro spokesman Officer Adan Ocampo-Gomez said.
Officers and medics were summoned about 5 p.m. to 1708 Fairfield Ave., south of the Las Vegas Arts District, police dispatch logs show.
The woman was found in an apartment, and it initially appeared as if she had suffered a blunt force injury, but medics determined she had been shot, Ocampo-Gomez said.
No arrests have been made, and detectives were continuing their investigation, Ocampo-Gomez said.
