Graffiti-style mural pays tribute to mass shooting victims

A graffiti-style painting of hearts with the names of the 58 people killed in the Oct. 1 massacre on the Las Vegas Strip was spray painted on a wall in the west valley.

On Monday afternoon, people paused and took photos of the mural, which stretches across the back walls of several houses near Tenaya Way and Westcliff Drive.

The seemingly anonymous artist also painted #VEGASSTRONG!! on the wall, along with the message: “October 1st is a day Vegas will never forget. This wall is for the angels.”

The rest of the wall is covered with multi-colored hearts with the names and ages of the victims killed when a gunman opened fire into a crowd of 22,000 people attending a country music festival.
