A person was fatally shot and another critically wounded in a late Tuesday shooting near Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road, according to Metro Police.
Officers and medics responded about 10 p.m. to 1135 E. Desert Inn, Lt. David Gordon said. The fatally wounded person died at the scene, and the other person was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
Detectives continued to investigate the circumstances of the shooting and patrol and K-9 officers were searching the area for a possible suspect or suspects early Wednesday, Gordon said.
