Irvine-based In-N-Out Burger confirmed plans to add two more Las Vegas-area restaurants.

The new restaurants are scheduled to open at Sahara Avenue and Hualapai Way and at Flamingo and Sandhill roads, according to Carl Arena, vice president of development and real estate for the iconic chain.

He said both locations are "still in the final permitting stages and there is quite a bit of preparatory infrastructure work to be completed before we can set a construction start date." In other words, he has no idea when they will open.

But, once construction begins, the restaurants will likely open within four to five months, Arena said. "We're really enthusiastic about both of these opportunities," Arena said. The locations are part of new construction so they don't have addresses yet.

The Sahara/Hualapi site is near the community of Summerlin. Arena said it will be located in an existing shopping center anchored by a Sprouts Farmers Market and Stein Mart on the northeast quadrant of West Sahara and Hualapai. "We will be on a pad fronting West Sahara," he said.

"The second new store will be located in an existing shopping center anchored by Smith's grocery. We will be on the hard corner of the center located on the northeast quadrant of Flamingo and Sandhill," Arena said.

In-N-Out currently operates 17 restaurants in Nevada. Of those, 14 are in the greater Las Vegas area.
