Route 91 Harvest: Day 3

LiveNation

Jason Aldean performs during the third and final night of the Route 91 Harvest country music festival Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at MGM Resorts Village.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Las Vegas … no, not Christmas. It’s fall. Perfect weather, plenty of fun, and something new this year — the city’s very first major league professional sports team. Whether you’re heading to the rink, looking for laughs or listening for some hits, entertainment options abound.

ROUTE 91 HARVEST Back for its fourth year at the Las Vegas Village grounds right across the Strip from Mandalay Bay and Luxor, this three-day country music festival features up-and-comers Jason Aldean, Maren Morris, Sam Hunt, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Lee Brice and many more, plus even more emerging country artists on the Next from Nashville stage. Sept. 29-Oct. 1, info at rt91harvest.com.

EXHIBITIONISM: THE ROLLING STONES EXHIBIT This recent arrival in the lower lobby of the Palazzo resort features more than 500 items such as guitars, lyric books, backstage paraphernalia and artwork that tells the story of the legendary rock band. A video experience narrated by film icon and Rolling Stones superfan Martin Scorsese is a highlight, but check it out for yourself and find your own satisfaction. On display through January, info at venetian.com.

IMAGINE DRAGONS Las Vegas’ own rock heroes are playing their first proper arena concert at T-Mobile Arena Friday night and they’re hoping all their friends will be there—they just released additional tickets for the show, including previously sold-out general admission floor tickets. Sept. 29, info at axs.com.

TIFFANY HADDISH The “Girls Trip” and “The Carmichael Show” star is blowing up right now and ready to make her debut at the Aces of Comedy series in the Mirage’s Terry Fator Theater this weekend. Haddish is fresh off an appearance on the Netflix special “Def Comedy Jam 25” and is shooting a role in the new Tracy Morgan TBS series “The Last OG.” September 30, info at mirage.com.

VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS VS. SAN JOSE SHARKS The puck drops at 5 p.m. Sunday for the Knights’ last preseason game at T-Mobile Arena. The regular season begins on the road in Dallas Oct. 6 and Glendale Oct. 7 before the home opener on October 10, also against the Arizona Coyotes. If you haven’t caught the Knights in action and absorbed the full NHL Vegas experience, you’re in for a treat. Oct. 1, info at vegasgoldenknights.com.
