Fuerza Bruta” lands on the Strip in March.

An interactive theatrical spectacular seen by more than six million people in more than 34 countries is coming to the Las Vegas Strip. “Fuerza Bruta” is set to open March 7 for a six-month engagement in a “technologically advanced” tent at the northwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno Avenue, at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino property.

“’Fuerza Bruta’ has performed to extraordinary acclaim around the world and we believe they will quickly become a mainstay on the Strip,” said Excalibur President and COO Ann Hoff. “We know Las Vegas audiences will fall in love with the spectacular production that must be seen to be believed.”

The show originated in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2003, created by artistic director Diqui James and musical director and composer Gaby Kerpel. The Las Vegas version will be co-produced by Ozono Producciones, Fuerza Bruta and EMM Williams Productions, the principal promoter for Cirque du Soleil and other shows in South America.

“Fuerza Bruta” will perform ten shows a week, at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays at Excalibur beginning March 7, with preview performances set for March 4-6. Ticket information can be found at excalibur.com.

Like Cirque shows, “Fuerza Bruta” isn’t confined by spoken language and theatrical conventions. The audience stands on the “main stage” and guests are surrounded by a 360-degree spectacle of innovative entertainment including acrobatic performers dangling from above, just inches away. One favorite segment offers performers splashing in a Lucite pool suspended above the audience.

“Fuerza Bruta” isn’t the only tent-based production coming to the Strip in 2019. “Celestia,” an original, acrobatics-based endeavor from Intrigue Shows, is set to open in a black-and-white tent just north of the Stratosphere in January.
