Snow was falling in the northwest valley this afternoon, but it wasn't expected to stick to the ground or stick around, according to the National Weather Service.
The right atmospheric conditions made for snowfall around the Summerlin and Centennial Hills areas, meteorologist Ashley Wolf said. Snow was also falling at the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort on Mount Charleston, she said.
Clouds shrouding the rest of the valley could result in a some rain sprinkles but not enough to measure, Wolf said.
