4.6 earthquake shakes California-Nevada state line

PAHRUMP — A magnitude-4.6 earthquake has shaken a remote desert area on the California-Nevada state line.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the tremor occurred at 8:17 a.m. Thursday.
It was centered 25 miles south-southeast of Pahrump, and the same distance east of Tecopa, California.
The quake occurred at a depth of 5 miles.
