Whoever stabbed two foreign tourists to death last week at a Strip hotel may have entered their room to steal property, Metro Police said today.

Police did not say what led them to that conclusion or if anything was missing from the room at Circus Circus, which is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of a suspect.

The bodies of Sang Boi Nghia, 38, a tour operator from Vietnam, and an unidentified employee of the company were found about 4 p.m. Friday in a room on the hotel’s 21st floor, police said.

They arrived in Las Vegas from California with a tour group Thursday night, police said. Hotel security went to check on them after they failed to show up for a planned trip to the Grand Canyon on Friday morning and discovered the bodies.

A hotel guest heard an argument in the room about 2 a.m. Friday but didn’t report it at the time, police said.
