Organizations meeting next week to offer services for the homeless are in need of volunteers, according to Clark County officials.

Project Homeless Connect is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion Center, 3900 E. Bonanza Road, near Sandhill Road.

The effort pairs organizations and programs with those in need of housing, job training, mental health, counseling and drug abuse treatment.

The free, yearly event operates with hundreds of volunteers, who help check in and escort attendees around the services. In 2017, roughly 600 volunteers aided about 3,000 people at Cashman Center.
