Dorian McAllister rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns tonight for the Basic High football team in a 41-27 victory against visiting Coronado.

After Coronado scored four touchdowns in the second quarter, it didn’t score the remainder of the game.

“We settled down in the second half and played our game,” Basic coach Jeff Cahill said.

Paul Myro passed for 248 yards, including a touchdown pass to Steven Justice, and also had a touchdown run.

Basic plays league-leading Liberty next week and closes the regular season in two weeks against Green Valley in the Henderson Bowl.

“We played better but we still have some work to do,” Cahill said.
