Wrong-way crash on I-15 leaves 2 dead near Jean

Two people were killed Thursday night in a wrong-way crash on southbound Interstate 15 near Jean, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The crash, which shut down the freeway for several hours, was reported shortly before 10 p.m., according to patrol logs.

The victims were identified as Frank Thomas, 42, of Jean, and John Camilo, 51, of Valley Village, Calif., according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Further details were not immediately available.

This was the second fatal wrong-way crash investigated by state troopers on I-15 this week. A motorist was killed early Tuesday near the Sahara Avenue exit.
