Golden Knights library cards now available

Hockey fans and book lovers rejoice: you can now get a Golden Knights library card.

The Golden Knights announced that starting today, they are partnering with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District to produce team-branded cards. The cards will be black and gold with the team’s “Vegas Born” slogan on the front.

Current card holders can exchange their cards for a Golden Knights version at a local branch, and new members can sign up online at LVCCLD.org or at a local branch, where they will need photo ID and proof of Clark County residency.

“Promoting literacy and learning is a mission that we share with the Vegas Golden Knights, and we are thrilled to partner with them,” Ronald Heezen, executive director of the library district, said in a statement.

“We hope that Vegas Golden Knights fans who haven’t thought about the library since their childhood will use their new card as an all-access pass to enjoy free downloadable movies, music, digital magazines, audiobooks, live performances, and so much more,” Heezen said.

February is National Library Lovers’ Month, an impetus for the partnership.

“We strongly value literacy and education, so we are proud to support the library in the great work they do in providing free educational resources to the Clark County community,” team Chief Marketing Officer Brian Killingsworth said in a statement.
