Shin Lim won “America’s Got Talent” last year and is ready to take on the Strip.

When he headlined a series of sold-out November shows at the Paris Theater, the annual “America’s Got Talent Live” productions that showcase the TV competition show’s winner and finalists, sleight-of-hand artist Shin Lim was already considering his Vegas options. He has settled on the 1,200-seat Terry Fator Theatre at the Mirage. The resort announced today that Lim will perform there May 31-June 2 and July 26-28 with tickets starting at $40 on sale January 16.

Though his show is magical and Lim maintains longtime Vegas headliner Lance Burton is one of his biggest influences, he doesn’t consider himself a magician or illusionist. His precise, cinematic performance is built around dexterously displayed card tricks and other choreographed movements that leave audience members grasping to figure out what they think they just saw. The 27-year-old, Vancouver-born artist won the title of World Champion in card magic at the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques Magic Olympics in 2015.

Lim will join a very active roster at the venue as Terry Fator (who won season two of “AGT” before signing his mega-deal at the Mirage), Boyz II Men and the rotating comics of the Aces of Comedy series also claim the theater. After winning season 13 of “AGT,” Lim’s talents are in demand and he’s picking and choosing his tour dates. But if all goes well at the Mirage, don’t be surprised to see him sign up for a long-term residency somewhere on the Strip; he said in November he would love to develop that type of Vegas show.
