A former Las Vegas-area transit bus security guard has been sentenced to five years' probation for fatally injuring an 82-year-old passenger by shoving him out the door of a bus last year.
The case is similar to a pending murder case against a 25-year-old Las Vegas woman accused of killing a 74-year-old man by shoving him face-first off a public bus in March.
Court records show that 42-year-old Anthony Louis Villanueva was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in February to voluntary manslaughter of a victim more than 60-years-old.
Charles Adams died Dec. 21 of injuries including facial fractures that a doctor blamed on his face-forward fall early Nov. 14 at a bus stop in North Las Vegas.
The Clark County coroner determined Adams died from the fall and ruled the case a homicide.
