An Allegiant Stadium construction worker required medical attention this morning after a mishap at the site of the nearly complete $2 billion facility.
The person, who was working on a boom lift, was taken to an area hospital for further evaluation, an official with builder Mortenson-McCarthy said.
No further information was released on the extent of the worker’s injuries.
“We are investigating a boom lift incident that occurred where a construction worker completing final touch-ups on the exterior at Allegiant Stadium required medical attention,” said Eric Grenz, vice president of operations for the joint stadium build team.
“The worker was alert and taken for further evaluation. Safety is Mortenson-McCarthy’s top priority on this and every project,” he said.
The stadium project was substantially completed last month, though a number of smaller tasks remain to be finished.
The stadium is the new home of the Las Vegas Raiders, though fans will not be permitted to attend games this fall because of the coronavirus pandemic.
