A man jailed Sunday on a drug count is now accused of murder after a man’s body was found Monday morning in a desert lot, according to Metro Police.
Andrew Klophaus, 33, who was being held at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of drug possession, was rebooked on a murder count, jail log shows.
Officers were dispatched at 6:21 a.m. Monday to a lot near Nellis Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive, where someone had found a man’s body, police said.
Police did not say how the victim died or how Klophaus was identified as a suspect in the case.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name once his family is notified.
