AEG Presents, the live entertainment company that has managed seminal Vegas venues including the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, will partner with Resorts World to develop and program the Theatre at Resorts World, a 5,000-seat venue planned to open with the property in the summer of 2021 to host concert residencies, conventions and sporting and special events.

The theater at the long-awaited hotel and casino resort from Malaysia’s Genting Group was first announced in November 2019, a new venue to challenge similarly sized Strip powerhouses like the Colosseum, Park Theater at Park MGM and Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood. Resorts World and AEG announced the partnership today, which will see the new venue operated by AEG division Concerts West.

“Resorts World Las Vegas shares our vision and passion of providing next-level entertainment and best-in-class venue experiences to sophisticated customers looking for something fresh and exciting,” said John Meglen, President and Co-CEO of Concerts West. “For over two decades, we’ve paved the way for the modern-day residency which has evolved into a proven model of success on the Las Vegas Strip. We look forward to introducing and sharing incredible programming in the near future and continue to pioneer the future of entertainment with our partners at Resorts World Las Vegas.”

The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas is designed by Montreal-based Scéno Plus and will feature one of the largest stages on the Strip at 64 feet deep by 196 feet wide and 95 feet tall at gridiron level. Its proscenium opening will be 123 feet wide by 50 feet tall. A state-of-the-art audio system comprised of 265 speakers will provide a “multi-dimensional surround sound experience,” complemented by 5,000 square feet of LED screens. The multilevel theater can be configured for different seating arrangements among orchestra floor and two balcony levels with the furthest seat 150 feet from the stage.

“AEG Presents and Concerts West are synonymous with global entertainment and we’re thrilled to bring their tremendous foresight of entertainment operations, and unmatched lineup of international talent, to Resorts World Las Vegas’s stage,” said Scott Sibella, President of Resorts World Las Vegas. “It’s critical that our partners share in our mission to redefine the hospitality experience and create defining moments for our guests. Over the past year, we have been working closely with AEG Presents and Concerts West to identify ways we can elevate programming and amplify the current concert and theater model here at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas when we open next summer.”
