Police: Male fatally stabbed at pool party with over 200 people

A person was fatally stabbed late Wednesday during a fight at a south valley house that had been rented for a two-day pool party, according to Metro Police.

More than 200 people were at the party, Metro homicide Lt. Ray Spencer said. The house was rented through a vacation rental website, he said.

The stabbing was reported about 10:50 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Richmar Avenue, near Blue Diamond Road, police said.

The fight broke out during the party, and one male stabbed another male, who died at University Medical Center, police said. The suspect fled before officers arrived, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim.
