California visitor wins nearly $2 million at Caesars Palace

A visitor to Las Vegas is nearly $2 million richer after hitting a pai gow poker jackpot at Caesars Palace today.

The player, a California resident who did not want to be identified, hit a progressive jackpot just after12 a.m. with a seven-card straight flush, according to a Caesars Entertainment news release.

The player, who said they planned to buy a home with the money, wasn’t the only big winner at a Caesars property on the Strip on today.

Later in the morning, a visitor from Georgia made a Royal Flush while playing Texas Hold ‘Em Bonus Poker at the Flamingo.

The hand netted the gambler, who also declined to be named, just under $481,000.
