Metro Police are probing the slaying of a man found dead inside a central valley apartment this afternoon, Lt. Ray Spencer said.
An anonymous tipster called police about 1:20 p.m. to report the body in the unit located the 3300 block of Arville Street, near Desert Inn Road, Spencer said.
Detectives were certain the man was the victim of a homicide but hadn’t determined how he died as they were waiting for a warrant to conduct a thorough search, Spencer said.
The apartment had been rented through a short-term rental company, and witnesses gave “vague” descriptions of a group of people seen leaving prior to officers’ arrival, Spencer said.
