As Las Vegas tourism officials prepare for what they hope will be a busy summer, a new TV advertising campaign hit the airwaves today.

Dubbed “Vegas You,” the campaign’s goal is to remind potential visitors that the city is ready to welcome them back, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

The spot, which features fast-moving clips of Las Vegas destinations, began running today on television networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN, Food Network, BET, Bravo and HGTV.

The ad was produced by Las Vegas firm R&R Partners.

It will run during National Hockey League games on NBC Sports Network and during National Basketball Association broadcasts on TNT. A second ad will be release in late May, according to the release.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the number of visitors to Las Vegas has dropped dramatically, though tourism is starting to slowly pick up again. Las Vegas welcomed about 42 million visitors in 2019, compared to fewer than 20 million last year.
