Henderson Police has placed a corrections officer on paid administrative leave pending an investigation after he was arrested in Las Vegas for a second DUI offense and one count of domestic battery, the agency announced.

Eliot Holman, 30, was arrested early Tuesday by Metro Police for the aforementioned charges, both misdemeanors, the release said. Holman was hired by Henderson on July 5, 2016.

Court records show Holman posted a $50 surety bond Tuesday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 25. Records from the Henderson Municipal Court show Holman was arrested Feb. 5, 2018, for the first DUI. That case officially closed Oct. 7, 2019. He paid $685 in fines, court records show.

The investigation remains open and no further details were released, Henderson Police said in a statement. Anyone with information is urged to call HPD at 702-267-4911 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
