A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car Tuesday afternoon in an east Las Vegas intersection, according to Metro Police.

The collision happened about 2:45 p.m. at Sahara Avenue and Winterwood Boulevard, Metro logs show.

Citing a preliminary investigation, police said that a 2007 Harley-Davidson sideswiped a 2017 Toyota Camry that had “left a posted stop sign.”

The rider, a 56-year-old Las Vegas man, died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where the juvenile motorist also was taken with minor injuries, police said.

The investigation was ongoing.

Four motorists have died five days into the new year on Metro-patrolled roads, police said.
