A 36-year-old man has been arrested in a fatal shooting earlier this week near downtown Las Vegas, Metro Police said.
Derrick McGruder was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of murder, police said.
Homicide detectives believe the victim had a dispute with McGruder, a neighbor of the victim, police said.
Officers were dispatched about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday to the 600 block of East Bonanza Road. They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The victim’s name was not released.
