Welcome to another week of high school football in Southern Nevada, where a handful of games could go down to the wire — especially a class 4A league showdown between visiting Las Vegas High and Basic.
The same can be said for the class 5A matchup a few miles away, where Foothill hosts Legacy.
Other games expected to be close in Week 7: Durango vs. Clark, SLAM Academy at Pahrump Valley, and Spring Valley at Sierra Vista.
The class 5A has the most interesting games of the week, with Canyon Springs traveling to Bishop Gorman, Arbor View hosting Palo Verde, and Desert Pines taking on Green Valley. Those games, however, could each feature lopsided outcomes — Gorman, Arbor View and Desert Pines are all top-5 teams.
