A 57-year-old man was killed this morning after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a truck near the Las Vegas Strip, according to Metro Police.
The crash happened about 5 a.m. on Desert Inn Road, east of Joe W. Brown Drive, police said.
A pickup truck was traveling west on Desert Inn approaching a red light at the intersection with Joe W. Brown, police said.
The motorcycle was also heading west on Desert Inn while splitting lanes and crashed into the back of the truck just east of the intersection, police said.
The motorcyclist was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where they died, police said.
The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the motorcyclists name after his family has been notified, police said.
