"Mystère" reached an unbelievable milestone this month at Treasure Island.

Has any other show anywhere been performed 13,000 times? It’s a staggering figure, one reached by Cirque du Soleil’s magical “Mystère” last Saturday at Treasure Island. After opening in 1993 in the same Las Vegas Strip theater, “Mystère” has been seen by more than 17 million people. To celebrate the 13K milestone, the artists and crew took some stage time (and a cake, of course) to mark the occasion and received a thunderous standing ovation — something which happens quite a bit in that theater. “It’s an extraordinary accomplishment to perform 13,000 shows in Las Vegas and we owe it all to our tremendously skilled performers and crew,” Eric Grilly, president of Cirque’s resident shows division, said in a statement. “‘Mystère’ continues to be a hallmark of Las Vegas entertainment with its unmatched artistry and we look forward to seeing how much more we can achieve together in the future.”

Usher has added 25 new shows to his “My Way” residency production at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The new dates begin on March 3 and run through July 15 and tickets go on sale Friday via Ticketmaster. Usher returns to the Strip this week with performances Friday, Saturday and Aug. 31 and has four concerts scheduled in September.

The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation is bringing back its epic fundraiser The Event for a second year at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Oct. 1 and this time, the headlining entertainment will include Maroon 5, Maren Morris and John Mulaney. Shaq’s organization aims to assist underserved youth through partnerships with Boys & Girls Clubs and Communities in Schools, two groups that make a big difference in Southern Nevada, and tickets to the concert and other fundraising opportunities at The Event will continue to serve that mission. It doesn’t quite make up for the canceled Pearl Jam show in Las Vegas, but Eddie Vedder has announced a concert with Earthlings (Chad Smith, Josh Klinghoffer, Chris Chaney, Glen Hansard and Andrew Watt) on Oct. 7 at Dolby Live at Park MGM. All tickets will be available through Ticketmaster Verified Fan registration. In other announcements this week: R&B trio Thee Sacred Souls will perform at Brooklyn Bowl on Oct. 5; Electro-pop duo Phantogram hits Brooklyn Bowl on Nov. 2; Metal act The Ghost Inside will take over Brooklyn Bowl for two nights, Nov. 18-19; The Millennium Tour returns to MGM Grand Garden Arena on Nov. 25, this time starring Bow Wow, Mario, Keri Hilson, Lloyd, Pleasure P, Bobby V and other hip-hop and R&B artists; Iranian artists are set to return to the Strip during the holidays when Moein and Shadmehr share the stage at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan on Dec. 24 and the icon Googoosh performs there on Dec. 25; and Durand Jones & The Indications will ring in the new year with a concert at Brooklyn Bowl on Dec. 31.

Mat Franco celebrated the seventh anniversary of “Mat Franco: Magic Reinvented Nightly” at the Linq on Sunday with his cast and crew and a cake from Freed’s Bakery. The former “America’s Got Talent” champ has continued to introduce new illusions and excitement to his family-friendly show, which performs at 7 p.m. nightly except Wednesdays.

Is it too early to think about Christmas? “Tournament of Kings” will return to its holiday-themed “Twas the Knight” production at Excalibur on Nov. 23 and continuing through Dec. 25. The dinner show arena will once again transform into a winter wonderland with holiday-inspired music, costumes and décor, not to mention the moment when Merlin the wizard summons snowfall upon this unique Vegas kingdom. Tickets start at $52, and info can be found at mgmresorts.com/Excalibur. It’s never too early.
