Peter Luger Steakhouse is opening a Strip location at Caesars Palace. It will be the first domestic expansion of the well-known New York City restaurant in over six decades.

A legendary East Coast steakhouse brand is coming to Las Vegas late this year.

Caesars Entertainment says Peter Luger Steakhouse is opening a Strip location at Caesars Palace.

It will be the first domestic expansion of the well-known New York City restaurant in over six decades and mark the German beer hall brand’s first U.S. location outside of New York.

“Our two iconic brands have rich and celebrated histories, and we could not imagine a better partner in Las Vegas, Amy Rubenstein, president of Peter Lugar, said in a statement.

Sometimes referred to as New York City’s “original steakhouse,” Peter Luger first opened its doors in Brooklyn in 1887.

At Caesars Palace, the new steakhouse will be located next to the popular Mr. Chow restaurant, according to the release.

“Just like Caesars Palace, Peter Luger is timeless and inimitable,” Sean McBurney, Caesars Entertainment regional president, said in a statement. “We know our guests will love the opportunity to experience this legendary New York tradition in the heart of Las Vegas.”
