Demi Lovato has a tour stop planned at the Venetian.

An Evening with Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert” will end its run at Harrah’s Showroom on the Las Vegas Strip on June 12. The innovative tribute show featuring live musicians and singers and a hologram of the iconic vocalist performing her greatest hits originally opened in October. The production from Houston’s estate with Base Entertainment and GFour Productions has plans to renovate its presentation and return to the Vegas stage, as well as launching a tour in 2023, but no dates have been announced yet.

Banachek, acclaimed mentalist and star of “Banachek’s Mind Games Live” at the Strat Theater, was named Mentalist of the Year during the 54th annual International Magicians Society Awards. The title has been given to many of the most renowned magicians and mentalists since 1968, and this was Banachek’s third time receiving it. His show continues at 4 p.m. five nights a week with tickets available at thestrat.com.

Diana Ross is ready to return to Las Vegas. A new six-show run is set for September 21 through 30 at Encore Theater at Wynn, with tickets going on sale this Friday, June 10. And another superstar female headliner has added shows to her residency: Katy Perry, who wraps up her current run at Resorts World Theatre this weekend, has tacked on eight new show dates from October 5 through 22. Those tickets are already on sale.

More announcements this week include: Nate Bargatze will return to Encore Theater for two more shows on September 9 and 10; As reported this week at LasVegasWeekly.com, the Day N Vegas hip-hop and R&B music festival will be back on the Strip at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on September 2-4; Punk legends Melvins will play Backstage Bar on September 12; Demi Lovato brings their new tour to the Venetian Theatre on September 30; Darius Rucker will play the Sandbar Stage at the Red Rock Resort on October 2; Comedian Vir Das will perform at the Summit Showroom at Venetian on October 8; Carly Rae Jepsen will perform at the Theater at Virgin on October 15; Panic! At the Disco will be back at T-Mobile Arena, scene of one of the biggest concerts ever for Brendon Urie and company, on October 21; And Leanne Morgan brings her own style of funny back to Encore Theater on December 8.

Absinthe” celebrated its 6,000th show at Caesars Palace on June 1. Its host the Gazillionaire marked the occasion by awarding a Salt Lake City couple who won the show’s regularly occurring lapdance competition (if you know, you know) a check for $6,000. The beloved Spiegelworld production first made its debut in Las Vegas in April 2011.

Fresh off a tour of Australia, “The World’s Greatest Freakshow” has opened at Notoriety Live in downtown’s Neonopolis complex. The variety show that “takes the human body to the absolute limits” hits the stage at 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, and there’s at least one familiar freak in the mix. Brandon Pereyda, formerly of “Zumanity,” is back with his “Axle” character to host the show. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one.

Mosaic on the Strip, the upstart theater that houses musical tributes “Queens of Rock,” “MJ The Evolution” and “Piano Man,” has a new burlesque show in the lineup. “Lady Like,” described as “retro modern burlesque,” opened a limited engagement this week and is performed Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 p.m. and Sunday and Monday at 10 p.m.

Las Vegas favorite and “America’s Got Talent” winner Michael Grimm has teamed with pianist Bill Zappia to create a new monthly variety show at the Stirling Club, which debuted on June 4. The show is full of music, conversation and surprises, and don’t be shocked when guest artists stop by. While it is a private club, the venue is making any seats not reserved by its members available to the public at thestirlingclub.com. Upcoming performances are set for 7 p.m. on July 2 and August 6.

Golden Rainbow has postponed its annual Ribbon of Life fundraising performance until December 4. It will still be held at the Legends in Concert Theater at the Tropicana, and for updates on when tickets will go on sale, stay tuned to goldenrainbow.org.
