A Metro Police corrections officer working at the Clark County Detention Center was arrested Monday on counts of battery and domestic violence, the department said today.

Officer Christopher Wilson, 35, remains at CCDC on counts of domestic battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery domestic violence, according to online jail records. He’s been with Metro since 2016 and has been placed on suspension with pay pending the outcome of charges and an internal investigation, according to a release.

Wilson is scheduled to make his initial appearance Wednesday in Las Vegas Justice Court. No other details were released by police.

Another Metro corrections officer, Luis Ybarra, 28, was arrested Friday in North Las Vegas on one count of sexual assault of a child under 14, according to NLVPD. In that case, Ybarra has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of internal and criminal inquiries.

Ybarra made his initial appearance in Las Vegas Justice Court today and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 29, according to court records.
