A suspect is in custody after their vehicle was stopped just east of the Las Vegas Strip on Wednesday afternoon and was treated by Metro Police as a barricade situation, according to authorities.
Officers first attempted to conduct a stop on the suspicious vehicle about 3:30 p.m. near Winnick Avenue, police said. The driver of the vehicle then began to move recklessly, and at times swerved onto sidewalks.
The suspect was eventually stopped near Koval Lane and Flamingo Boulevard, where their vehicle was regarded as a barricade situation. Police said about 4:50 p.m. that the suspect had been apprehended.
No injuries have been reported at this time, police said.
