Police searching for suspect who killed apparent cohabitant in Spring Valley

A woman was killed Monday in a dispute with a man who was temporarily living with her in Spring Valley, according to Metro Police.

Officers received a report about 11:05 p.m. Monday of a shooting at a residence in the 6200 block of Craigmont Avenue, police said. The victim was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and she was transported to University Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Police are still seeking the suspect whom they have identified as Hunter Allen McGuire, 26. He is believed by police to have been a male acquaintance of the victim who brandished a gun and shot her while the two were in an argument.

A warrant has been issued for McGuire's arrest. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
