A man died due to injuries he sustained in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 in the North Las Vegas area this afternoon, according to Nevada State Police.
The collision occurred about 2 p.m. today when a utility truck traveling northbound in the far right lane of I-15 failed to slow down as it neared traffic that was stopped south of Cheyenne Avenue, police said. The utility truck struck the rear of a pickup truck, causing the latter to strike the rear of an SUV, which then struck the rear of a white box truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police are actively investigating the crash.
