UNLV Rebels running back Aidan Robbins (9) tries to fend off Idaho State Bengals linebacker Charles Ike (30) during the first half of an NCAA college football game at Allegiant Stadium Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, in Las Vegas.

UNLV running back Aidan Robbins was named the Mountain West's Offensive Player of the Week after his career-best performance Saturday against North Texas.

Robbins ran for 227 yards and three touchdowns during the Rebels' 58-27 win over the Mean Green at Allegiant Stadium. The graduate transfer from Louisville nearly doubled his output from the first two games of the season.

Robbins' performance was the eighth best rushing mark in program history.

This is the first time since 2013 UNLV has been recognized twice in three weeks for player of the week. Quarterback Doug Brumfield earned Week 1 honors after throwing for 356 yards and four touchdowns against Idaho State.

UNLV is looking for its first 3-1 start since 2008 when it faces Utah State in Logan on Saturday.
