Bruce Woodbury had three receptions for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns tonight for the Boulder City football team in a 28-25 victory at Pahrump.

Quarterback Jacob Bryant rushed for a score, Hunter Moore had 23 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown, and Gabriel Richey picked up some crucial first downs in the second half when Boulder City was icing the win.

The Eagles improved to 4-1 overall, including wins in Mesquite and Pahrump in consecutive weeks — a not-so-easy task.

“Usually there is one team that stands out in the 3A,” Boulder City coach Chris Morelli said. “This is the first time all four of us (Pahrump, Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley) seem to be even.”

Boulder City’s lone loss came to Moapa Valley in a back and forth game, and Morelli knows October football is going to get “very interesting.”

“We all have a chance,” he said of the playoffs.
